New AVO Coordinating Scientist

For several years Jeff Freymueller has been the Coordinating Scientist for the Alaska Volcano Observatory. Jeff will be leaving UAF in August to move to Michigan.

For the past couple of months, a GI selection team has worked in consultation with DGGS and USGS to decide who will fill that role when Jeff departs. The team has selected David Fee as the new AVO Coordinating Scientist. Please congratulate Dave on his new responsibilities and join us in the Globe Room on Friday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. for a sendoff for Jeff in his new position.
