“I really like traveling. One thing that actually drew me to science was the chance to go to conferences and travel and see other places. And so last summer I got to go to Uppsala, Sweden, for a conference. That was my first time in Europe. I like seeing the different infrastructure and culture. Just getting to see what a Swedish menu looks like, or walking around a Swedish city and getting to see the design of the buildings. … One thing I’m trying to do right now is I’m trying to put together a trip to Russia. Which has been like a personal dream of mine, it’s just that the visa is kind of difficult. I’m hoping I can pull off that trip next June and get to see St. Basil’s Cathedral and see what Moscow is like.”
