“I like programming and I like making things. I wanted to learn how to make a mobile app, so I made the first thing that came to mind and ended up making an app called Color Meter. It helps color blind people, like me, 'see' colors in real-time. It helps when I want to tell if a shirt is purple or even sometimes if a banana is ripe. Although, after I made it, I realized that you don't really need an app to do these things and I find myself using it rarely. But it was a fun project and now I know how to make mobile apps.”
Craig Stephenson, system analyst and programmer at the GI’s Research Computing Systems, shows his app in action.
