“When I was 13 I watched ‘Monsters, Inc.’ on DVD, with the behind-the-scenes extras — that was the moment that I thought ‘I want to be a CGI animator.’ Seeing those people super happy doing their job of animating. ... It was 2003 when that happened, then in 2013 I was in San Francisco graduating from my Animation Mentor course, and I got to go to Pixar for real. That was super cool … a big personal achievement was getting to go and meet people and see the place I had held in high regard for so long.”
