More than 25 GI staff members were recognized for their service to the university during the Staff Longevity and Awards Ceremony last week.

Chancellor Dana Thomas congratulated staff on their perseverance during a challenging academic year.

“Especially this year, we need more celebration, not less,” Thomas said.

The longevity awards recognized staff members who reached milestone years of service to UAF, ranging from 5 to 35 years.

The longest serving GI staff members recognized during the ceremony were David Covey and Kathe Rich, both for 25 years of service. Roger Albright, Jeffrey Beiderbeck, Liam Forbes, and Scott Stihler were recognized for 20 years of service.

Congratulations to the awardees and a big thank you to all staff members for your hard work.
